The November 1 Prosperity NOW! conference at the Ambridge Event Center gets more exciting every day. Mary Means, founder of the Main Streets Program, starts the conference with a keynote speech on Main Streets. Norm Winningstad speaks about "Turning adversity to your advantage." Twenty-five sessions offer information and insights for business associations, small businesses, and individual entrepreneurs.
BDA sessions include how to become a successful business association, creating a sense of place and identity, targeting and recruiting new businesses, marketing the BDA, finding funding, and working with community development corporations.
Small businesses can benefit from discussions on strategic planning, dealing with banks, saving energy, marketing and media strategies, using the Internet to promote and communicate, and marketing to diverse cultures.
