Annual Meeting
The APNBA's Annual Meeting is Monday, April 23 at the Ambridge Event Center, 300 NE Multnomah, starting at 5:30 PM. We will elect new officers and a new board, vote on new bylaws, hear Patrick Donaldson's recap of the past year, and consider activities for the coming year.
This will be a very busy year and we need board members who have the time and interest to attend meetings regularly as well as serve on a committee. Be prepared to nominate such a person to the APNBA's board.
Newest Rose Festival Parade
The celebration of 100 years of Rose Festivals starts with a parade along 82nd Avenue on Saturday April 28th. Planned by Ken Turner of the 82nd Avenue of Roses Business Association and partially supported by a grant from the APNBA, this event will showcase some of Portland's East side groups.
The officially sanctioned event starts at the Eastport Plaza at 9:00 AM, travels north on 82nd Avenue to Yamhill and ends at 78th and Yamhill. Led by an honor guard, the parade offers the Rose Princesses, the Rose Society, Rosarians, the Corvette Club, Keystone Cops, and much more. Montavilla/East Tabor plans a series of activities for the tired, possibly wet and probably cold participants and watchers both.
Ken Turner can accept up to 15 more entrants so come join the parade. Contact Ken at 503.774.3817 or Email him for an application form.
