Jean is APNBA's president and will be pleased to speak with your organization about pretty much anything APNBA related. She's also a parliamentary scholar and can thus talk about, and work with you, on the proper ways to hold efficient BDA board and general meetings.
Jon is the Executive Director for the APNBA and is available to you on topics such as APNBA's current activities, compendiums of ideas presented at the June 2008 conference, BDA marketing and recruiting and a host of other topics given a request and some lead time to put a presentation together for your organization.
Janet's speech, "Find the Liar" is an entertaining, informative, and non-sales approach to how small businesses can take some simple and cost effective steps to hiring the right people. She has spoken at Hollywood Boosters and APNBA's 2008 Annual Meeting with great reviews. Janet is the Director of Operations for Employer's Reference Source Northwest, Inc. a locally based service that assists businesses in confirming representations made on employment applications.

Michael Boyer works in the Office of Neighborhood Involvement's Crime Prevention Program for the City of Portland. As a Crime Prevention Program Coordinator Michael works closely with public safety activists, the police precincts, community members, neighborhood associations, state agencies, city bureaus, businesses, and local service providers to address crime and livability issues. Michael is responsible for the Beaumont Wilshire, Cully, Hollywood, Rose City Park, Roseway, Sumner, and Sunderland Neighborhood Associations. Michael can speak on, or arrange for speakers, on any public safety topic.
Michael is the man to have talk to your group about City of Portland government, the Ombudsman Office and how to address complaints about the City. The goals of the Ombudsman are to safeguard the rights of the people and promote higher standards of competency, efficiency and justice in the provision of city services.
Mr. Liberty speaks on the topics of the role of corridors development as part of the region's approach to the next 1 million residents. His interests include promoting redevelopment in town centers and along main streets, increasing transportation and housing choices, conserving natural areas inside and outside the urban growth boundary, and giving citizens a stronger role in the regional planning decisions affecting our future.
Leslie Hildula is currently working on the MAX Green Line expansion from Gateway to Clackamas Town Center. She would be delighted to talk to any group about the light rail construction project and the role of MAX in serving our neighborhoods. Leslie serves as the Chair of the Citizen's Campaign Commission, monitoring and reporting on publicly funded city elections. That group has published its first report (July, 2008) and a second one will be released after the general election in November 2008 She can also share her observations and recommendations on that topic with any group.
